Find a motorcycle swing arm chain buffer. Look at the top and lower area on most dirt and street biked. They are a sort of delrin plastic material. Very tough. They can be cut up easily for mods.
A roller tensioner, unless a sprocket and bearing assembly, won't survive the loaded side of a chain.
Some motocross scoots have 8 or 10" guides. They can be attached to a bracket with countersunk screws. And the buffer will require a steel backer plate.
I forgot that thing is a triple...torque monster!

Well here it is almost complete. Minus seats a little wiring for head and taillights and now replacement of all wheel bearings it will be complete. And man what a journey it has been
