Re: Finally starting my 1st build
The first of 3 coats of spray on bedliner
After the underside was finished I installed a Jake's 6" A arm lift kit and front disc brake kit with the newer style hubs. While I was digging into the front end it got a new steering rack, new tie rod ends and a new U joint connector for the steering. I also had the steering column shortened 6" to make getting in and out easier. |

Re: Finally starting my 1st build
I made up a template for a front push bumper/ winch mount from schedule 40 (since that's usually what's laying around here) and I got it off to my welder/ fab guy and will be picking it up later today along with a hitch he's designing for me.
I would say from what I've seen so far, should be good stuff so updates will be coming soon. |

Re: Finally starting my 1st build
I guess in the middle somewhere I forgot to mention that the
front and center section I covered with roll on bedliner. I'm still on the fence about the rear section, it may be too trashed to use, I'm trying to determine just how much the bedliner will actually cover. I may just have to try and find a replacement. |

Re: Finally starting my 1st build
Yeah, and it came with a spare 03 DS for parts, including a set of trojans that were less than a year old.
Sometimes (not often) lol a deal comes my way. I tried playing Powerball that week, but my luck did not hold out. The extra DS will become a trailer or a rat rod project, not sure which just yet. |

Re: Finally starting my 1st build
Looking good! Glad you reposted.
What brand bed liner did you use? Does it have a texture? |
