Default Vtwin G1

After 4 years and 4 different engine setups, the G1 Hunting Cart is ready for it's next upgrade. That's right. 16 hp Briggs Vtwin Vanguard.

First off, thanks to Rich "nobuckbuild" for the engine. This guy not only sold me an engine, but tuned it up, ran it on the bench, took a video.....then he drove across PA into OH and delivered it to me.....at a jobsite! Wow. Very impressed with this guy's dedication to the hobby. He could have sold that engine on CL or Fleabay for the same or more money. But he sold it to me. Thanks Rich!

Funny story:

When Rich came out with the engine, I thought he was going to pop the hatch open on his minivan and show me the engine.....nope. He opened the rear driver's door....there it was in all of it's glory. Buckled up in the seat belt, sitting comfortably atop some cardboard, all tightly wrapped up in a black trash sack. I thought I was looking at my kid for the first time. I almost got a tear. Not really. But I was pretty excited.

Then tonight I was reading "Boke's G9" thread and I saw that he had his Vanguard hand delivered from North Carolina all the way to New York. Here's what it looked like.....very similar to what I saw LOL

So hear's my plan:

I have the engine. I have the clutch. And I have the cart with the lift.

My question is....will this engine fit in my clone engine mount? Are the bolt pattern's the same by chance? I can always drill etc.

And what key switch do I get? I looked at some at AZ but I remember that it has to be a particular kind, like for a lawn tractor or boat?

Actually, it was delivered from New York, to North Carolina.

Rich is a great guy. He has been to my home. He drove my modded vanny, without the supercharger. Great guy who has treated me right!

Do you want to run the headlights off the key? That's what I do.

If you're gonna work with me, you'll find that you need to make decisions.
Headlights, or no headlight off the switch?
