Default Mot-a4

I have been thinking about this motor my question is there is 2 field maps right speed and torque. So I have a set of 20” tires and wheels as well as 23s so how long would it take to bounce back and fourth between the 2 maps if it only took a laptop and a few minutes I thinking this might be the motor I should buy. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Jerry

Are you running an alltrax controller? Switching field maps is a breeze and you can actually make a "personality" keyed switch for 20 bucks that will switch between 3 preloaded maps.

The mot a4 has a ton of torque even with the speed map loaded! I'm pulling wheelies on 27in tires.

No question the MOT-A4 is a monster for torque. But so is an Alltrax XCT500 with most AM motors. The amperage is what gives you the power, but if you are doing a lot of pulling or constantly on steep inclines, you want a beefier motor that is designed for torque over speed as they use a different winding design and will take it more then a speed motor ever would. There are also combo motors out there, but again, it is primarily what you are going to need for your terrain....

I was told that running the speed map will larger tires would greatly reduce the fife of the motor.

I bought the stuff to make 3 switches PM with lead length and I can make you one. Other forum members will make and sell them too. I just couldn't justify a 20 dollar order costing 10 dollars ship so I upped my order.
