Default metallic squeal

I have a metallic squeal when taking off, after running awhile it gets worse. It is a 1986 Ezgo gas, 2 cycle engine. Could it be the crankcase bearings?

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!
It could be a bearing. It could be some other things. I would check the clutches to be optimistic and then check the lubrication system. If the pump fails so does the engine...
If you haven't already disconnected the pump, you may want to consider it. This would require pre-mixing gas/oil. That is not as convenient, but assures proper lubrication. Someone else will be able to better help with identifying the cause of the squeal. I know how they work, but don't own a 2 cycle. There's a difference... Good Luck.

That will get worse as it gets hotter!
If you run it in neutral, does it still make the noise?? If it does, it isolates the motor and/or clutch.... Hope that helps.
