Default 80-88 Aftermarket top end kits

On the intake side of the cylinder head there are two threaded bolts. The cylinder has two and the head has two to hold the bracket for the generator mounting.
Between the two on the cylinder, the aftermarket has a 3/8" hole that is connected to the internal ports. My oem does not have this hole. What do you do with it??
It doesn't have any threads.

My original (I assume it was original) and aftermarket cylinders both have that hole, It does Not protrude into the intake port on either one. It's just a bored hole, probably has something to do with the casting???

Post up a few pics of it, if it truly does protrude into the ports then I'd send that cylinder back.

You are correct. Looked at it again Sunday morning and it doesn't go through. Spent yesterday pulling the engine all the way down. Ordered new crankshaft bearings. Started from the ground and working up. If this original piston is marked 50, what rings do I need to find. .050mm?
