Default Club Car precedent- 3 speed options

Good morning everyone! I just got a 2009 Club Car Precedent new to me. Looking for a speed upgrade.

I use the cart on the streets and hope to do 22mph on flat. However, I also use it for trail work/hunting from time to time, so I do need some torque getting up hills.

Currently cart is on speed code 4, little slow getting up to speed for me now. I plan on lifting it and putting 23" tires next week.

I am considering 3 different options to give the cart more "oomph", I am curious to everyone's thoughts.

Option 1- Speed code 5. I've heard good things, and guy is local to me.

Option 2- Plum quick Bandit motor.

Option 3- Alltrax Controller upgrade. 400A?

Battery pack is good, cart is completely stock in the motor/controller space.

Price is definitely a huge factor.

Any input is appreciated!

I would go with option 1 1st because it can be returned and get your money back, then I would go with option 3 i would not do a bandit upgrade I would do a new motor Instead

Alltrax Controller and a higher HP motor, above 6hp. And if your going with the Alltrax you might as well go with the 500A option which includes the fan cooling option.

An alltrax will give you more speed and more torque than 1 or 2.

Alltrax has no speed codes and allows more amperage to reach the motor for more torque.

Later down the line you can pick a bigger motor.

Id give David hicks a call www.revolutiongolfcars.com hes got lots of options to pick from and he can set you up with a package that can meet your individual needs.

The Alltrax setup would be the ideal choice for any cart that cannot use the speed code 5 programmer. Some carts can, most can't.

If your cart is an IQ with the s/n prefix's NQ, AQ, PQ, CE, FD, HD, or PE, go with the speed code 5.

It will give you more torque and outperform a speed magnet. Advertised speeds are 22 to 24. It keeps speed limits in place to prevent damaging the controller or motor.

Your local guy's recommendation is the best and will save you a ton of money.

With 23" tires say goodbye to acceleration and off road torque with the present setup.

Yep. 23 tires. Get an alltrax. Speed code aint gonna help ya with the torque.

Speed code is useless for 23" tires.
Bandit motor will burn out trying to turn 23" tires. It will literally fry itself.

You need a 500A controller, upgraded solenoid and at least a 4awg cable set. And will eventually need a torque motor.

I had a speed code 4 on my 2018 (18.5 tires) and did the normal 19.6mph. Everything else stock on the cart.

Did the Plum Quick Bandit upgrade and have hit 29mph, which I will say is crazy for a stock golf cart.

Yep I'm with Fairtax4me, do the 500 amp alltrax, heavy solenoid and cables. Youll be totally satisfied and you can add a performance motor later which is what I did.
