Scotty, I think my cart is a dcs and the wiring diagram you sent appears to be a pds. Would you be kind enough to post the one for a dcs? Thanks

Here is one... it may need more work as to what is actually necessary, It is a bit of a mess, looks like some redundant paths... but it should get you going in the right direction

Not sure if this helps, but mine did the same thing... so I replaced the solenoid ($25) and it fixed the problem!

i finally got around to replacing my solenoid last night and upon pressing the accelerator the solenoid isn't clicking, so presumably the solenoid wasn't the problem. with the key in the on position and in forward both sides of the solenoid read 38 volts, if i cut the key off the side of the solenoid labeled "bat" slowly goes to 0 volts while the opposite side stays at 38 volts.

i guess my step is to look into the solenoid activation circuit that scotty mentioned earlier but i'm confused about both sides of the solenoid being energized when the petal was not being pressed, is that how it's supposed to be?

There is a precharge resistor across the large posts, that's why you read voltage at both posts when the Sol. is not closed.
First thing to do is to determine which half of the solenoid activation circuit is missing + or -
