I don't think there is allot of options as far as lifts for a G1. I know allsports has a G1 4 inch lift thats economical.

Thenewguy just installed one of these on his Jeep build. Its at the top of this forum in a sticky.

You can use the front end of the 4wheeler like I did, wasnt very hard to do.

Yes, the Jakes lift uses the stock shocks.

I'm probably going to be getting one or making my own 4" allsport style lift. But either way couldn't I use a longer eye to eye shock such as a atv shock on it and lift it a lil higher with that. It seems like the rear wouldnt matter and would work but I figured ur limited by camber of the spindle in the front.

If you just extend the shock or get a slightly longer one, the front camber goes out really quick. You really need to lower the a-arm mount points or change the angle on the spindle. I built my own 3-4" lift by welding some square tubing and driling some steel plate. It took me about 3 hours for the front and 1 hour for the rear. It doesnt have to take that long but im kinda slow. When you start lifting the rear, the clutch on the engine starts hitting the frame at about 4" but you might not have this problem if your using a different engine.
