Yamaha G16 Lift Kit. How much is too much?
Hi Guys!
Finally getting around to lifting my G16 and while talking with a local shop, I was cautioned not to lift more than 3 inches or the cart will become very unstable. They said this is because of the independent suspension on the Yamaha carts. I had my heart set on a Jake's 6" kit, but wanted to get some feedback from y'all with personal experience in this matter. TIA....... |

6" lift is no problem. Take a look at the Allsports lift.

Jake's lift kits are Yamaha Authorized and there a minimum of 6 inches by the time you lift it and get negative offset wheels and wide tires it will be fine

Thanks to all who responded! You've convinced me that the 6" lift won't be a problem. I had already decided on a Jake's lift kit, but now I feel better.

Re: Yamaha G16 Lift Kit. How much is too much?
Just a note. The Allsports lift is even more stable due to the double A Arm design. The wheel caster remains constant as wheel travels up and down. By the way Allsports is the only Club Car factory authorized lift. Jake's has some good products also. When we build a G-16 cart with a big block we will only use a Allsports A Arm or a Jake's long travel.

when you go up, you need to go out also.
I went 12" up and 6" out, stability is fine. get some good offset wheels or spacers |
