Default 2001 clubcar ds 48 iq

Have a 2001 clubcar ds model iq electric cart. The problem I have encounter with it is that when you plug in the charger it clicks but charger meter does not move. Used the same charger on another cart the charger works. So I believe it’s something with the cart. Replaced the charging receptacle with another one that I had(used) worked for a little while and same problem. Could it be the obc.

PowerDrive 3 or 2?

Likely the OBC (On-board computer, brains of charger) on the car has failed.

PowerDrive 3's I've had come in with a clicking but no amps or hum i have never been able to fix, though. Replacing diodes in one that had blown one also results in a click but no amps/hum. We stopped repairing the 3's. Or, rather, attempting to repair the 3's. Most 2001 or older models though have a 2.

If the Fuse in the charge receptacle is not blown, then it’s probably the OBC.
Make a 10awg jumper wire from the receptacle fuse to the pack main negative and see if it charges.
If it does charge with the receptacle jumper to pack negative the OBC has failed and you’ll need to replace the OBC or upgrade to a smart charger.
The jumper is only meant as a temporary test. The charger will not properly charge the batteries without the OBC.

I would upgrade to a DPI or Eagle Performance charger. Not one of those ERIC garbage. The ERICs are as bad if not worse than a PowerWise QE! We got three that are stone dead in the shop now.
