Change the batteries on your multi-meter.

Set the multi-meter to 20vDC.

Clip the positive and negative leads of the meter directly on a single battery positive and negative post.

Drive the cart and measure the voltage as you accelerate.

Repeat the process for each battery.

If all individual batteries read good and the pack voltage drops, You have a bad cable or connection between the batteries.

This is exactly how I tested them. They all show the exact same readings when you push the gas. The volt meter immediately goes to fractional numbers and then within 5 seconds reads negative numbers. This happens identically with every battery. Anyone out there ever experience this? Guess I will be pulling all the batteries and checking all wiring. There is a local output tester for sale for $50. Would that help me identify a possible problem?

I cannot think of a single technical explanation to what you are describing.

If there is any way You can take a picture of the battery compartment showing how the batteries are wired and a picture of the meter showing the probes and settings (or at least a model number) perhaps we can identify possible sources to the problem.
