Star dies at 50% battery level
Recently, we were out on a long drive in my 2010 Star 4 seater (48V). The battery power LED bar graph on the dash showed just below 50% and the cart died. After getting it towed home, I hooked up the charger (Lester Summit II), and it also showed a 50% charge. Is it normal for the cart to die at this level? If not, what could be the problem? Thanks.

Re: Star dies at 50% battery level
Some bar graph meters reset 100% to whatever the cart was last charged up to. Say te batteries are old or the charger got turned off at 75%, Then the meter would read 50% but the batts would be 37.5%
You can see what I'm getting at. You need a voltmeter gauge. full for 48v is 50.9v and 48v is empty |
