Bit the bullet… new stance on the way
Was sipping some Irish whiskey last night and surfing the web. Trying to decide if I should lift my new (to me) cc ds gas. Really need the clearance if I’m going to be able to cruise my property. (At least that’s what I’m telling my wife)
I’ve been watching these lift/tire/wheel packages on eBay. This combo gives a little rim with a good amount of tire… I’m not a fan of the giant rim/small sidewall thing. (I’ve got 35-12.50-15’s on my K5) Anyway, these had been like $769 but had dropped to $730 yesterday. There was a “make an offer” option so I thought, “what the hell… see if they will do $700” (Thank you whiskey) They took the offer so I’m thinking $742 shipped after taxes is pretty good for the 6 inch lift and 10x22 inch rims/tires. I like the steel wheel look anyway so that works too! The plan is to build some tube bumpers, tube the roof supports, add a roof rack and light bar- then black all that out. Then I’ll do the body in an olive green bed liner. (Maybe do the floor black bedlibner with some along the quarter panels? I’ll have to decide when I get there) Let the project begin! |

Re: Bit the bullet… new stance on the way
Im starting to like the tires you have with thenubs on the side wall. I have tires that are more paddle type tread and they make alot of noise. My use is exclusively off road, and have some wet/muddy spots I need to get through. The tires I have now have plenty of tread, but the side walls are getting dry rotted. Hope to make it through this deer season.
