No lift and not much oil just a touch in the airbox hose. Air filter and round air box were clean. Guess I need to adjust the throttle cable to be sure the plate closes

remember the thread about the spring from a pen? a lil better spring or the one from some pens will solve all the issues back firing gauranteed,you just have to keep messing with the adustment on the cable as to when it closes all the way.once you get it right,,it will always be easy to do

My guess is it was very badly worn rings since that is the only thing replaced besides gaskets. I will mess with the throttle cable later as it only happens occasionally. I can say I am scared to run it at full speed for more than a brief second, but I guess that's good since the rings need some time to seat

dont over rev it or it will be toast fast lol..a tack is a good thing on the 2 stroke for sure
1 back fire can make you may possibly have to remove and tear the engine down again,speacially if you didnt use something to glue the seals in place..,thats the first and easyest thing to fix for sure..changed the way my cart drove and acted completly when i had that engine. |

You have broken oil rings or copletely wiped out valve seals. my guess is oil rings and will destroy cilinder walls if you keep running.
