Yes it is. I turned the governor back down. But seems to still have messed it up. There is no knocking or grinding sound just lots of oil on the spark plugs fouling them out. I wouldn't think turning the governor up would blow the engine in 15 min.

^^ serious!? exceeded rpm's can damage in an eye blink, sounds like the rings are way gone, which is hard to see them wear so quickly which points to broken oil ring in one or both cylinders which is also kinda hard to believe but do-able, so, I would check the oil for metal particles like piston skirt material. either way, its gotta come apart, dont run it anymore, it wont heal itself, tear it down and hope for little to none cylinder wear.

Too bad, I thought it may have sucked some oil up through the vent pipe from the crankcase. I would pull the head first and see if you can see anything, look at the valves, guides, seals and the tops of the pistons. can't believe you broke 2 pistons though. In fact I can't think of anything that both cylinders at once would start burning excessive oil.

Sounds like you broke something - maybe an oil ring or a piston skirt. It's pumping oil into the cylinder which is fouling the plug. You are going to have to take it apart and find what broke and fix it. It isn't going to run the way it is.

Any ideas how much a dealer would charge to look at it or rebuild it?

very high dollar if you dont do it yourself..and when the rear main seal goes out in a car it dont cause smoke maybe smoke from the oil squirting on the muffler will cause smoke..the main seal will just leak oil..
in a 2 stroke with bad main seal it wont have power and run good at all.

i agree with the others in saying maybe a oil ring is broke..unless the oil is way over filled..

if you cant afford to fix it theres always a vegascarts.com 440cc clone that will rock and roll for less than 400 to your door..

the 295cc engine in your cart goes for just under 2 grand new
