I'm interested in this as well. I have read reports of 20" tires being installed on a stock suspension with trimming of the rear section of the skirt. I'd be interested to know if 22" tires would fit.

Mine is lifted with 22" and I was told they had to trim for those to fit.

Just an FYI. I received my "fleet" 2012 Electric 48V Drive today. I had the dealer program the PTV Code and I am getting 23MPH on stock wheels and Tires. I am looking to upgrade this week so that should get me a couple more MPH but I thought this was interesting as everyone say 19 is the best they could do.

Nope, I just made a rookie mistake... I had the GPS in KM/H instead of MPH anyway it's more like 17 MPH now and I am wondering if the dealer put in the PTV Code. Is there a way to know if this was done?

Josh--if you can do 17MPH, you have the PTV code. When I bought my cart, it would only do 17 after the code change. Got it home, charged the batteries, went 19-20 no problem. Charge your batteries and try it again.

Thanks Dave! I have it on the charger now and will measure the speed again tomorrow. Out of curiosity, how many more mph would a 2 in larger tire give me? I have 205/50-10's on it now. and are there any other tricks before a new controller?

Thanks again!

Josh---I just got this cart Tuesday. This is my first Yamaha so I am learning as I read From what I have learned however is that our controllers are the weak link. I did not get bigger tires for that reason. Larger tires will kill your torque and this controller is not exactly a torque monster even with stock size tires. I went with 215-40-12 tires that are only about 1/2 inch larger. I went for a long ride today and can say honestly I am happy with 19-20 MPH.

Olman,

Do you have a back seat on your cart? If so, any issues with the tires rubbing the frame?

Thanks
