Battery fuse question
I got my alltrax 300 in the mail this am. It all looks pretty self explanatory, except for the fuse they included with the controller, see picture attached. According to the instructions, it looks like I just stack one end of this fuse like it was a washer on top of the battery terminal. Is that right? I really want to connect one end of this to the terminal and connect the other end to the battery cable. I am sure you have all used this type of fuse before and know how it works. Thanks!

Re: Battery fuse question
That's about as wrong as it can be, Kelly. Nothing is going THROUGH the fuse. Remove all the wires from that battery terminal, Install one end of the fuse, add all the small wires on TOP of that terminal and tighten it all down. Now take that large battery cable and connect it to the other end of the fuse. Done.

Re: Battery fuse question
No, all wires to one side of fuse, other side of fuse to battery terminal. Or like Gorno said.

Re: Battery fuse question
Well, THAT makes sense to me. But the instructions shows this illustration above. I'll change it. So, I will need to go and get a new Nut and bolt, then.......

Re: Battery fuse question
Looking good...... I'll tell you what wrong as you can get is on this fuse install is. I had 2 customers discover the fuse fits perfectly between the SPM controller B+ and B- and that's where they put it..... believe me they both got a big surprise when they hit the gas - it burned one HD solenoid to ashes and both controllers survived. When Alltrax says their new SPM controllers are reverse polarity protected, They ain't just whistling Dixie
