Default Disable Regen Braking

Hey guys! I was wondering if you could help me when something... I own a 2010 club car precedent with the speed code 4 setting on and nothing makes me more mad then when I go downhill and it slows me down... Does anyone know how to disable the regenetive braking feature? If you can help thanks!

If yours is an IQ system, replace the speed magnet. I felt the same way with mine at speed code 4. replaced the magnet and did away with the regen braking feature downhill.

The braking can be set to "0" that will allow you to free wheel down hill up to speed code 4 setting. Takes about two minutes.

Ok, how would I put the breaking in 0? Is it something I could do by myself?

Dealers and most shops have a hand held programmer they can hook to the port and do the programing.

You can disable "Pedal up braking", but that will not allow the cart to go any faster than the speed code programmed.
The regen braking cannot be disabled.
Like CartTrader said, if it is an IQ, you can install a high speed magnet, which will both do what the speed 4 does and make the regen so weak as not to be noticeable.
I don't recall anyone ever posting what a speed magnet will do on an Excell with speed 4 programmed...

Speed magnets do not work on Excel motors.

Look at the passenger side wall and locate the serial number, if it starts with PH it's an excel system if PQ it's an IQ cart.
