Default Custom Built Cart Frame

What a great site for the many questions I need to research for my custom project.

I'm building a custom electric cart from scratch and prefer to use some of the readily available parts from various cart manufacturers.

The cart is very specialized, so I must begin with building a custom frame.

The frame must be wider than most carts I've seen.

My problem at the moment is figuring out how to extend the front suspension and steering system so the wheels are further apart.

The same is true for the rear axle/differential.

Most likely, I will need to extend both the front and rear by about 8" on each side.

Any suggestions or links will be most appreciated.

sounds interisting the front should be easy with an ezgo all you would have to do is cut and extend the axle and tie rods.
as far as the rear. 4" spacers possibly or a axle from a small car might be in order.
what do you need such a specialized cart for?

I am not sure I like this idea. If you want to stay with electric you could use an electric rear axle and remove the brakes and use a sprocket on the splines to transfer to another outboard axle. The outboard axle would need brakes maybe something off of a go cart would work. This setup would allow a lot of gear ratio options.
Just thing out loud
