Par Car keeps shutting down

Hi All, I am new to this forum. here is my Problem. I have a 1991 Par Car, and after running for a short while it will die, waite about 1 minute fire it up and off we go, then it just dies again. it seems to die about every 1/2 of a mile or so. any Ideas? thanks. JohnT

Sounds like you need a new fuel pump. http://www.cartpartsplus.com/high-volume-fuel-pump.html

Thanks for the reply. I fitted a new fuel Pump, still dies, fitted an Electric solid state fuel pump same Problems. now I can go one better it don't only die but the Engine locks up. again waite a minute or two and of we go, for another mile and lock up again. JohnT

Thank you . the problem I had has been solved. the oil tank was not working, I mixed up some 2 stroke oil and that solved my problem. no more engine lock downs. JohnT
