Default Re: Best In-NEV GPS System?

I live out in the country and everyone drives about 60 mph on all these back country roads so, mine will be used for golfing and camping. Will be pretty handy to tow it to the campgrounds behind my RV for driving around the park, and possibly even into town for those parks that are on 25mph roads. Might use it for carrying light loads around my property as well.

I know this will sound a little odd to some but lots of guys have used bicycle speedometer in their carts if all you want is to track speed and mileage. you don't have to worry so much about somebody taking it either.

That is definitely the biggest problem, constantly removing it so that it doesn't happen every time I leave the cart in front of a store, etc., or whenever I'm in an RV park. But I still like it for other reasons such as miles traveled, average speed, best WOT, etc. Here is how I mounted mine... plastic disc mounted to the dash and then using the suction cup mount.

If anyone is interested in a cheap GPS unit, you can get one today for under $50. Not sure if it has all of the functions and features that you want but the price seems fair.

Woot.com changes their deal every day... no more GPS. So if you click the link and get something different, that's why.

Cheers!

I have a Storm 2, what program are you using for GPS Speedo tracking? Sounds very intersting... Also, have you used your storm 2 as a GOLF GPS? I want to find a good program to use on the course too.

I wonder if they make a nice Storm 2 mount that would let me display it like a GPS would display?
