upgrading to 72v
i am building my own chassis and using the guts from a 1990 marathon and i plan on running 72v. im building this cart for top end speed, whats the overall best dc motor and controller options and outside of a 72v solenoid, will a standard HD F/R switch complete this setup? thanks, roy

Re: upgrading to 72v
For a controller theres some new ones on the market for around $3500. As for a motor you might want to figure out what your gearing will be first. For all out speed you may loose a lot of low speed torque. You have to be realistic unless you have an unrealistic budget. As for the F/R switch you need at least an HD unit, just depends on how much juice your pushing through it. A Reversing contactor might be better.
