1989 Yamaha G2E upgraded
I just finished the upgrade on my G2E to an Alltrax SP48500 controller with a Curtis SW180 high amp solenoid and an Albright HD reversing contactor. My main use is in the campgrounds on weekends where the speed limit is 5 to 7 MPH. I stayed with 36 volts for the lower cost and the longevity of the batteries. I left the stock 2 HP, 10 spline, Yamaha motor in place. It runs 14 MPH on GPS right now. I was wondering: How fast could I actually go with a higher HP motor? What would be a good recommendation?
