Re: Seeking help building a 30mph sleeper!!
Im running a 2012 RXV (danher) with a Navitas controller, with an 84v lithium setup. 10" wheels with 205/50r10s.
Does an honest 36mph on flat ground GPS confirmed. Very stable at those speeds as well. Trailered the cart up here to Jackson MS for a sporting clays event and while driving on the roads here, hit 42 mph going down hill. The best part are the 10 nissan leaf modules mean that I dont need to charge the cart for weeks at a time. The ONLY drawback has been that I have to watch my motor's temperature. It is EASY to overheat it on long high speed runs (5+ miles.) I will be adding a ducted fan or something of that nature to cool it....I think I'm going to do my own thermal circuit in order to activate the ESC for the fan and perhaps to give it variable speeds. I need to do a bit more research on that topic however. I've thought about switching gears to 13.3:1 vs the stock 16.99:1, however that WILL intensify the overheating problems, so Im holding off on that as of now. |
