Loctite on the battery post ????
I've noticed that my nuts on my battery cables on the post keep working loose.Has anyone ever tried loctite on the nuts to keep them tight?I got lock washers already installed, but they seem to work loose sometime.

Re: Loctite on the battery post ????
Thats not a good idea. 1. If you need to remove the terminal for maintenance you will have problems. 2. If the stud gets loose in the lead you won't be able to tighten it up. They will always seem to find their way loose....just part of routine maintenance

Re: Loctite on the battery post ????
As Roady was stating, its not the nuts that loosen up, Its the terminal end that sinks into the soft lead battery post and in turn, allows the fasteners to be loose.
