2000 Club Car motor/controller upgrade
Hi all,
New member here. Hope I got the right forum. I have a 2000 Club Car DS, not lifted, 10" rims with lo pro tires, has a back seat, and will be used in a hilly area. I need to know if the following configuration will first of all work, second of all increase speed (to 20+) and the car's hill climbing ability: Motor – D&D 502:2 (170-502-0002) Controller - D&D 500amp controller (PD-5022-TS) Contactor (Solenoid) – Heavy duty 400amp with diode and resistor Wire – 4AWG D&D's info on motor fitment is contradictive. Will the motor fit into the cart without a lift kit? Any advice is appreciated. |

Re: 2000 Club Car motor/controller upgrade
Your fist step is to ID the drive system type to make sure you are barking up the right motor type tree. Lots of websites like mine have simple flow charts which will help you ID the cart's drive system type.
