Re: summer project
Scottyb is right, I forgot that lifting the older carts is not as easy as the 84 and newer carts. The rear is no problem; the front end is where it gets sticky, as they did not use a rack like the 84 and newer carts.
You already own the older cart so you will have to decide how much work you are willing to put in vs. what you will have when you are done. If you want further upgrades later on that should be considered also. If you see an 84 cart make sure it has the Kawasaki diff and not the Fuji, I am not sure exactly when CC quit using the Fuji diff. |

Re: summer project
I actually lifted the old CC pretty much by accident. The front leaf spring broke and I replaced it with a l-spring from a snowmobile ski. It made the front 2-3” higher. So I lifted the back to match.
I’m thinking about upgrading the old CC to a controller and use it as a secondary cart. I still plan on buying a newer cart and make it into a hunting rig thanks for the help! |

Re: summer project
The cart is at our lease. So I can't get pics for a week or two. It’s pretty basic. The spring I put in was quit a bit more concaved or curved than the one I pulled out.
It could be that the old one was just old and flattened out but it looks like its 2-3” higher than a non-lifted cart. |

Re: summer project
Parts like batteries, tires & rims and controller can be moved to the newer cart later if you wanted to.

Re: summer project
Like to check it out ... Can't remember anyone else putting a different spring with more lift in the cart? What did it come from? And any picture that you can bring back would be appreciated. Who knows? Nate may want to refurb the suspension on his '79 with about 25 batteries in it

Re: summer project
Why not I have already had 14 batteries in my 79 CC Caroche. 300 volts would produce a snappy cart! Who wants to make the final connection?
