Re: Beast Motors?
I'm running a 500 amp Alltrax AXE on "Ike".. Even with 8:1 gears, I had to dial back the throttle up rate.. With it dialed all the way up, flooring the pedal would get ya a case of whiplash, and leave a 5' stripe of rubber on dry concrete!!

Having a fast "throttle up" rate makes the accelerator hypersensitive to any movement.. On a cart driven on rough terrain this can make holding a steady speed difficult, unless you have a very, very steady foot.. I tried keeping the ramp-up maxed out on "Ike".. But unless you were on smooth pavement, every little twitch of the accelerator pedal caused the cart to surge forward or slow down.. I ended up setting the ramp-up at 6 as a good compromise.. |

Re: Beast Motors?
I think for a difference of $20, I'd buy from one the site sponsors! Not trying to spend your $$, but I have ordered from almost every sponsor here without incident and will do so again. My half cent. BTW, one sponsors price is only $10 higher.
