Re: Beast Motors?
Ok,,,I got my motor narrowed down to the BEAST !!! Now which controller do you guys recommend? I was looking at a Logisystems 480amp on Ebay for $280. I've heard about some controller having the high amps but not ramping up fast enough. I don't want this,,,I want as much torque as I can get on takeoff, since this is a hunting buggy. I might even want to try a wheelie or two.I forgot to say I am running 48 volts.

Re: Beast Motors?
couldnt you just go big and like a 600 amp controller and that would give you more torque than the 480?

Re: Beast Motors?
An AXE 650 with a BEAST should give you wheelies. I have seen that, I haven't with a 480. You can set the ramp up in an Alltrax with the controller Pro software. Z71, you have an EZGO right? You never said which make of cart. That gets people confused. (like myself)

Re: Beast Motors?
I think its more than $600. You didn't say you had a limited budget thats why I reccomended the AXE 650. I haven't heard anything really BAD about the logisystems controllers. Their website has been dead a while so you can't get any documents. I think scottyb sent his back for warrantee work but other than that......
Dont forget to look at Kelly and Navitas. |
