Electric Go-Kart??
Just curious if anyone has put a golf cart setup on a Go-Kart? Seems with the lithium packs now it may be feasible. I convert 1/5 scale RC's to brushless and run only electric carts so just had an idea while I was playing video game where I was racing Go-Karts.

Re: Electric Go-Kart??
Yeah but they are very limited to inside tracks and super smooth surfaces. I'm thinking more of a off road kart maybe even using a golf cart rearend and motor

Re: Electric Go-Kart??
I am starting to build a 2 seat side by side off road buggy using a Club Car drivetrain, and two Yamaha YZ 400 dirt bike chassis for the suspension. Here is a drawing and photo of the parts. I'll be using a Lithium battery from a Chevy Volt.

Working on the same concept right now with an old club car and an atv front end. Will try to get pictures soon.

Re: Electric Go-Kart??
My son has one of those little drift carts. Pretty fun but hard on the rear end! No suspension and hard plastic rear tires...

Re: Electric Go-Kart??
Putting a golf cart setup on an ATV is not terribly uncommon these days. The only issue is that the frame of the ATV and golf cart aren't really a perfect fit. To make it work, you'll have to build a custom frame, specifically made around your go-kart's frame. I was just thinking about putting a golf cart setup on a go-kart the other day.
