Need Carb settings for Marathon 2 Stroke
Hi All, I’m new here. I just acquired a mid 80s EZGO Marathon 2-Stroke. The previous owner installed a new carburetor, but it is not running properly. I want to ensure that the carburetor settings are correct. Can anyone tell me what the initial settings are?

The only external adjustment should be the pilot jet screw. Typically a good starting point is 1.5" turns out. When you run the screw all the way in, be gentle so you don't damage the tip of the jet. Then adjust it 1.5 turns out and see how it runs.
If it's an aftermarket carb it may not run correctly, many of the chinese copy carbs that are available are no good. Original equipment carb is always the best, so hopefully that's what it has. |
