12v will likely not be enough to activate it.

Correct 12V was not enough to test. After thinking more about it and realizing there was not a code on the dash, I had read where a loose battery cable could also cause this due to voltage break. I honestly didn’t think this would be a fix, but decided it couldn’t hurt since I’ve not touched them in two years. First one turned 10 minutes, second the same, third the same, fourth maybe 30 minutes, uh ohh this may be the one tightened the rest which were all loose in my opinion. Test the cart and works perfect. Decided to remove all the cables one by one and clean with a wire brush and battery cleaner and re tighten each one. Tested ithe cart multiple times and no problems.

So at this point I believe I’ve fixed it with tightening the cables.

Thanks for everyone’s help hope this help someone else.

Drove it 20+ miles this weekend and no issues. Worked perfect.

Check the cables, clearly they can loosen up over time.

Ok, back to same issue again July 2023. However realized the last time this happened I washed the cart. July 4th 2023 washed the car again drove it 2 miles to the dock no problem went to go home, brake engages in the first 100 yards. Exact same issues and both times the cart had just been washed.

Any ideas on where to start? I left the cart at the dock and I’m sure a couple days it will be dry and fine but something is getting water and causing it to think it’s not getting 48 volts even though battery is fully charged.

Start by getting a leaf blower and blowing the charging port. Next remove the controller splash shield and blow anything around the controller.

Already did this. Been sitting for two days and about to go back and I’m sure the moisture is gone and it will work but this has to be happening to others. Would love for someone to pin point what is causing it.

Two days in the sun and back to normal. Put 8 miles on it and no issues.

Might be getting water in the parking brake connection and playing tricks on the controller.
