08 g29 build
I would like opinions that have built the G 29 recommendations on controller motor and lithium battery 50-70 volt 600 amp controller? ( brand) better then others would like to do this only once🤓 and great people to do Business with.
4k is what one place said is only motor that fits. I think 5k might fit but will be tight, anyone done it? 5k any difference in acceleration or top speed? It’s stock and will have 20” tires, want it to come out hard and have good top end. I have been reading a lot and not sure what batterie to go with. This is the first Electric build I’ve done would like to do it right the first time 🛺💨 Any help getting me a (great setup is appreciate it) thanks |

Re: 08 g29 build
Well I don't know if my controller is bad for sure, but my motor is toast. I took it apart and pieces fell out of it. Seems the motor brush springs had rusted away and consequently burned the motor up. Let me know what you want for the motor and controller.

Re: 08 g29 build
Hi Dale,
No idea if the 5k will fit but I do know that going lithium drops the weight so much the cart is really a completely different animal afterwards. I went from 48v lead acid to 56v lithium on a stock controller and the difference was night and day! Then I put in an aftermarket controller and again, night and day difference! I still run my stock motor and the cart is great. I used Alltrax but it sounds like you're going with Navitas? It does make sense since you need the motor too and the Navitas AC kits include that. Plus AC motors seem to offer higher max safe RPM from what I've read. I guess they're banded. |
