Will a brushless 36V hub motor work with a 24V battery?
Maybe a perceived silly question, but would a brushless hub motor rated for 36V work with a 24V battery pack?
Reason Im asking is I'm seriously considering an electric OPMD that has 4 brushless motors, but is the size of just a tad bigger than a disabled mobility scooter. The OPMD has 4 hub motors, but with a properly placed switch I'm thinking I can get just one hub to work.....and for the tiny hills in any airport it will suffice. The issue is the battery Watt-hr of commercial airlines is a max of 300W\H. Heck, my little scooter is more than that (if Im doing the math right) So, my initial thinking is pull the big battery.....ship it ahead to were I'm going, and use the unit as a scooter that complies with Airline Rules. Any thoughts? |
