Default Frame swap

Hey all

My MIL’s 06 TXT frame is shot. Does anyone sell a frame replacement kit? I have been looking for a donor cart but everything I find is 4K and up. Everything on the cart is in great shape except the frame.

John

Even if you strip it down and take it to a welding shop it might cost as much or more than that replacement frame. Since you're asking here I'm guessing you don't have the knowledge or equipment to do that type of repair yourself. My guess is some of us on here would, most would not. The market these last couple years has just gone insane for everything - including fix-r-upper and parts only carts.

I don’t have any way to weld where the golf cart is ☹️ Plus it’s really to far gone. Rear mounts are gone and front cross member is snapped. The whole cart drops about 2” in the middle when my 175# gets on 😬

I’ll check out that website TYTYTY

My guess is that shipping will not be cheap.

If you are not in a big hurry check with ezgo and country cat for blems. They usually are in the $6-650 range. Years ago they had 6 passenger frames for $350..

Shipping to Florida was $106 for 2 day freight. There has been an engineering change, the frame is E coated before powder coating to supposedly make it more rust resistant. They did absolutely nothing about closing off the front of the main rail tube.

I made a couple of my own engineering modifications when I replaced a frame recently. I bought a couple 1" X 3" plastic plugs and cut an angle on them to insert into the open end of the frame and sealed them with gasket maker. Then I made a sort of mud flap (I'll post a picture of that later) to attach to the frame with 1 pop rivet and a couple of zip ties to further protect that area.
