Default Briggs and Stratton - Honda V-Twin Performance Cams

Briggs and Stratton - Honda High performance V-Twin Camshafts

Just sharing some info I recieved from Mike Edwards at Precision Cams

They have Briggs Vanguard V-twin cams on the shelf and can do custom grinds.

Cheetah grind which is a .310 cam lift and 245 duration @ .050 lift. A .275 cam lift that they use a lot in Big Block Vanguards. also carry cams for the small block Vanguards. Keep in mind most Vanguards have a 1.3 to 1 rocker ratio so a .310 cam lift would be around .400 at the valve. They can grind your Honda cams but you need to send them the blank. They have a 1-2 day turnaround time.

The prices will change small block to big block.
Precision Cams provides the blank for the small block vanguards because they get it from Briggs before they put the compression release holes in the cam. That way the cam is much stronger than the stock cam. These cams are $235.

The Big block vanguard cams are $200 if you send the blank and around $300 if precision cams provides the cam blank.

They can provide grinds for any RPM range. They also specialize in custom head work for Vanguard engines. They do port work, flow, cut and install big valves in briggs vanguard heads.

That seem like a lot of money for a cam. we use to buy racing cams for go carts for B&S engines for like 75.00 bucks from crain fireball. I guess the extra 2 lobs on the cam and the prices on everything now has made the cams go up.
