The 18" long harness that came with the switch is 1/8" thick with the insulation and 5/64" with the bare wire

Would this be 12G or 14G?

Do any of the wires going into or out of the key switch need to have a fuse?

Hopefully 14g will work

I ordered 6 spools (15foot each) of all various colors for $25 shipped

I'm going to add a 15amp inline fuse for the wire going from the battery to the switch

I found a nice 90° fitting to get the exhaust away from the drive belt and the F/R cable

Wired up temporarily to make sure it starts and stops

I couldn't get anything to work. Duh, the battery wasn't grounded and the engine ground strap was loose

I ran the red wire coming from the voltage regulator directly to the battery

I connected a yelllow wire to the magneto kill tab to the M tab on the switch

I ran a black wire from the negative battery post to the G tab on the switch

I ran a red wire from the positive battery post to the B tab on the switch

I ran the white wire from the starter solenoid tab to the S tab on the switch

I have the L tab and X tab unused on the switch, that I still need to connect the factory led headlights to the switch

I think I might need a new battery, or a larger battery?

It's taking a tad longer than I expected to start up

Any ideas?

What’s the voltage of your battery when not cranking and cranking ?

How thick are your cables from the battery to the solenoid ?

Battery is 12.9v when not cranking

Drops off fast to 5.9v when trying to crank

Will barely turn over by itself.....when/if the jump starter box is connected it will crank and start

Deka Pro Master 426G 560c 450cc

I have no idea the age of the battery, but it is trickled charged

I'm currently using the stock ezgo cable that is 6G

Positive Cable to the starter

https://gcartparts.com/product/6-gauge-wire-assembly-24

Should I upgrade the battery and positive cable?
