Default 2021 Onward low mph...governor?

Couple questions.

Governor appears tied into trans axle...is this the common method to up the cart speed?

Is there a separate engine rpm limiter?

Mine is only hitting 17.5 per gps. Would like to at least get the advertised 19 or ideally low 20s.

I was able to answer my own question.

Anyone have any issues long term with zip tie mod? Other option seems to be to adjust the arms position on the pin.

I adjusted a little slack out of throttle cable and also noticed the full power stop on governor arm was set too far in which was restricting throttle open to about 50%.

After addressing both of those, it now hits 21.5 ish and runs a lot smoother. Slow speed Drivability and acceleration are greatly improved. For our needs in neighborhood I see no reason to add zip tie; it’s fast enough now.

Thank you!. I just got mine last night and speed is 17.5 with gps, going to try to figure out how to make the adjustments you mentioned this weekend. Hopefully I do not screw it up, I am not very mechanical minded lol

Could you describe exactly what you did, maybe with a picture or 2? I need to do the same thing.

It’s a bit involved with a bit of trial and error. Mine had multiple issues, the secondary throttle cable and full power stop was misadjusted.

What mph are you getting on gps and is yours lifted or not?
