Muchas Gracias to all , for all the info, and chatter!
Had a killdeer mama make her nest in the edge of our gravel driveway. Not sure how, but she survived about 100 dump truck runs, and my driving
- first one we’ve seen here.

Last we spotted a couple of killdeer nests with birds in them in a lot across from the marina. When we first sighted them we had to consult some birding books to identify what they were. You never realize until you try to identify the various birds how many different ones they are. We still often see ones haven't seen or noticed before and scramble to figure out what it is. The GF is 10X better at spotting them than I. Of course I am the one driving the cart or car when she starts yelling STOP Do you see that ?

May be a gender thing - my wife always spots critters before I do. It’s how a stray-cat got named “Backhoe”. She pointed and said “What’s that?”, well I saw the Case backhoe, she saw the cat . . . :

The GF has 4 cats presently. She had as many as 5 at one time. I have only the dog Izzy who is a rescue. She is half rhodesian ridgeback and half pit bull.At 75 lbs she is all the pet I can manage.

In case you did not know, there is a BS thread for stuff like this vs. posting on a thread that has no relevance to the thread.

In most forums the posts to a specific thread are relevant to the thread posted and it seems 75% or more are not on this one. Honestly, the VC 460 thread brought me here originally wanting to know more about the VC 460 but 3 or pages into the thread it became apparent that most posts were not about VC 460 and those not related would be better served in the BS section. Just trying to give you the benefit of the doubt that you did not know about the BS section.

The GF and I used Vicki for some extensive bird watching island touring today. Weather was great and the strawberry flies haven't arrived yet. The beaches are still roped off but up in the inlet between the 2 islands from the bridge we were able to spot a few red knots. Among the there were quite a few birds of a species we hadn't identified before. They turned out to be ruddy turnstones. Vicki was really running great and started right up after not being used for about 3 weeks. Today was by far the hardest I ran Vicki this year and its all good.

To critic of my thread Vc 460 I jumped about 10 pages at a time to show how our continued postings with each other has improved our carts and engines.PG 13 straight flow air cleaner,14 autolite plug,18 aluminum check valve, 22 removing the oil sensor in a non VC engine ,34 NGK spark plug boot,36 1 1/4 " belt, 43 head porting, 54 primary clutch spring changes,64 EXPS carb,73 VC 625 introduction,83 forged piston/billet rod combos,93 Viton valve seals,103 camshaft shimming, 112 Paulscarts super 460 block. In between the prelisted pages we cover carb tuning, valve unshrouding, carb throat porting, along adjustable needle valve sources and a lot of other speed equipment sourcing along with my magnetic dip stick. Other members such as the G8 , G9 the have a common interest share their lives and stay in touch with how to improve their carts along the way.

I see the carsandcameras guys put a 5.0 coyote muffler on their 420 stage 2. Even with all the flex tubing they used, the result was much the same as when Mr Chevy and I put a turbo muffler for 409 Chevy on. Quieter than no muffler but still very loud.
