Took Suzi out today. She barely started with a weak battery. I guess I need to run her more often or for a longer period to keep the battery charged up. One tire was nearly flat. Poor neglected girl.

Charged up Suzi's battery again to take her for a run as she repels the bugs with her 50/1 exhaust. Her old lawn tractor battery might have to be replaced as it does not seem to hold a charge for very long. She still runs great even with her limited use.

Went to start Suzi and her battery seem too weak to start her. Dis some more investigation and it was enough corrosion on the positive terminal that caused the issue. Cleaned everything up a zoom zoom off she went for a couple of rides.

Finally got Suzi out for a couple of runs today. I had eliminated some old wiring and her tach and gas gauge were out. Found a cut ground wire repaired it and all things are working again. A motor mount weld had cracked. Fixed that also.

Finally got around to taking Suzi out today. Charged up her battery and aired up her tires and did several round the block laps.

Mr Chevy gave the old windshield from his wife's Yamaha G16. It was a little scarfed up here and there and she wanted a new one. I had to cut 3"s off the bottom and with shade tree engineering got it mounted on Suzi today with modified original mounting parts.

With Vicki waiting for parts I took Suzi out for a couple of runs today. I wondered with the full windshield if exhaust fumes from the sled engine were going to be an issue. They were not. The brakes are still terrible and I really need to do something there when it is not so hot and humid.

Took Suzi for a couple of runs today. Had no brakes at all at first. I THINK I now see where the problem lies. We will see ?

The pivot bolt has been replaced by something else. There was no hole to lock the castellated nut with a cotter pin. Well this thing is a 1982 with who knows how many people had there hands on it before I bought it in 2016. True I did the engine work on it from 2008 on BUT not anything else. The former owner was not one known for his mechanical abilities nor not fixing things right part but merely using thing he had on hand. I added a larger outer sized nut against the brake lever and jammed the castellated nut to it. In retrospect I should have added a Nord Lock while I had it all apart. We will see how this all plays out.

Took Suzi for a couple of runs. MAYBE I have finally identified why the brakes would stop working after some usage ?
