2012 YDREKPT Wont move/ damages white wire from charge

Battery seems to have enough charge. Cart will click when I first turn it on. Reverse buzzer will sound. Once I step on throttle, nothing happens and the buzzer stops sounding. I have to turn the cart off and back on to get it to sound again. While diagnosing, I noticed the white wire connected to the bottom middle pin of the charging port that has a plastic blob connected to it seems to have been chewed/ripped and is only about 8 inches long now. I can't seem to find the rest of the cable. I honestly can't say if it's always been this way or not. I purchased the cart about 4 years ago, well used. Another clue to my problem may be the fact that the metal bracket that holds the plastic batter holder down. The middle back one near where the charge/motor wires connect. Has corroded like a battery terminal does. Like some charge is/was going through it. All I know is that in the years I have owned it, it hadn't corroded like that until now. I was thinking maybe the chewed white wire was touching the cart frame, but really I don't know what I'm talking about and have no clue. One more piece of information, every once in a while I can get the cart to move a short distance before everything stops again.

I appreciate any suggestions/advice for diagnosing.

Is the solenoid clicking when it doesn't run? Also, if you push the cart with the key on does the solenoid click, buzzer sound, cart resist pushing? It should!

Yes to all of that. I have to put into tow mode to push. But step on throttle and it just seems to turn off.

To add some clarification. After it dies, I have to switch into tow mode, then back to get it to turn on.
