Default Clutch Slip or Belt Slip

670 all stock internals and Mikuni with a Comet 780 in a limo TXT with 25" tires. I am getting tremendous slip at higher RPM recently, I have smelled rubber in the past and last weekend thought I smelled it again but when I looked under the seat there was oil all over the exhaust which I assume was coming out of the catch can (I was running about 4200-4500 RPM). Low RPM everything is fine and cart will get to 35+ mph (eventually) but more than 1/2 throttle something is slipping. Should I adjust the engine to tighten up the belt and lose some top end or is it possible the buttons in the clutch are worn out and need adjusting?

I wonder if the belt is misaligned at full shift causing the belt to have too much side load friction. This would cause a "hot belt" condition making it smell like melted rubber.

The oil thing....yeah not sure on that. It could be your pcv system is plugged up? Or maybe the oil level is too high? Is your engine mounted flat or is it slightly tilted toward the rear?

Good point, might need to make a run with the back seat off so I can. watch how things are engaging.

I had too much oil in before the engine was installed so I drained and refilled with less. I have a catch can on the PCV because I have the Mikuni and didn't want it to vent into the atmos but could be the catch can is creating restriction leading to the oil, will remove it and see if it goes away. It is very close to level.
