Default Add Auxiliary Switch?

Question for yall! So I have done the 670 swap. Batter is staying charged no problem with all the stock charging that comes on the 670.

I have added a tach, GPS speedometer and now a sound bar w LED lights.

My question is would you suggest me adding an "Accessory switch on my panel to be able to turn off the battery power to these units so as not to drain the battery? The sound bar has it's own on/off switch so no power draw there but the other 2 items are constant "on" so I thought to just add a switch to turn them on when I use the cart then off when parked.

Let me know what you guys think. I have see where folks use a switch "panel" but I was just gonna add a switch next to my hazard switch for the accessories.

You can add a rocker switch or you can use an ignition switch with the "ACC" or accesories feature. Not a bad idea, would eliminate a rogue draw.

Battery died yesterday so I went ahead and added an extra "accessory" switch that turns off everything from the battery.

I ended up adding a 2 bank marine charger to mine, I have 2 batteries. I did this because I still had challenges with batteries dying wven with the aux switch. Has been great so far and batteries always have 12.8v. As an option if you still deal with issues after the aux switch.

Ahhh good idea! Do you use the extra battery for accessories and the other for starting the cart? Mine is gas so it's only for starting/Lights/Radio.

Yes, I have the 670 and headlights/taillights/signals on the main battery then LEDs, stereo, etc...off the 2nd battery. I have 3 amps and 7 speakers so there is a bit of an amp draw there LOL.

You might be able to do a relay that is on with the engine. My cart the key is stock and 12v, I have to relay it to a ground to run the clone. Yeah you might need more, I once read the harbor freight was 9A charging, but of course that is probably at some rpm and in a cart you are not always running it faster or for very long. Stock generators are usually 15A but again at rpm. You can put the little alternators on for little tractors some have done that. Need a belt of course.
