Lift and shocks
Been looking into to getting my lift, figured I better get me some shocks! Dang these little shocks have a pretty big price! Not overly high just wasn't figuring almost 30 bucks a piece. Any lifts come with shocks that y'all know of. If not what shocks do y'all like best. Probably will get my shocks first as I do like how looks right now. So what shocks do y'all run?

You must not run a yamaha. They have coil over shocks and I was pricing out front ones and they are $100 each.

I think some of the long travel kits come with fronts, but are pricey. I put a 6" Jakes and you use same ones.

Re: Lift and shocks
I was able to buy some used (removed off new yamaha when shop custimized it) coil overs off a yamaha for $40 a pair from the local cart shop.
Is there a problem with replacing a regular shock with a coilover? |

I wouldn't think there would be a problem adding a coil. Just might make ride a little rougher. Not sure though.
$40 a pair sounds a lot better than 2 bills. |

Re: Lift and shocks
I couldn't believe it was that cheap. I geuss it's free money to the shop cuz they removed the stock ones and were paid to install aftermarket stuff. I actually bought them to put on the front but they were stiff (only 1/4" to 1/2" compression from cart weight) so I took the rear coilovers (250 quad shocks) and put them on the front and put the stiff yamaha stockers on the rear. Worked out well for me.
