Supercharged Ezgo
Thought I would share with the group my winter project. I have wanted to supercharge the golf cart ever since I saw Fast Freds version. Talked to him a few times about it but sadly he passed before I could get set up with one. Then I saw 1989Marathon's(don't know his real name). And knew that I had to give it a shot. So here is my adaptation of the Asin amr300. For a carb I went with the Mikuni tm34, and for the air fuel gauge I went with the Innovate Motorsports, for cheap insurance on not detonating the engine. I am getting between 12-14 psi of boost and the motor doesn't seem to mind. Only down side is that I still have the factory ignition control so I am limited on my rpms, but it gets to its top speed of 29mph pretty quick. Anyways big thanks to 1989Marathon with out his find of this little supercharger none of this would be possible. THANKS!!!!

Re: Supercharged Ezgo
Very impressed. Nice setup. Looks like we have started a trend here.
What are you doing for added fuel while under boost? Is the AFR in the pic displaying while running? |

Re: Supercharged Ezgo
On the Mikuni carb I have an aggressive enough needle/jet that under full boost I am at 10:1 air/fuel. And the air fuel meter is real time, which has made dialing in the carb something that I have been able to do myself. I can not recommend an air-fuel meter enough, the instant feedback lets you know if your changes are going in the right direction and where in the throttle position you still need work.

Re: Supercharged Ezgo
I don't think I'd try a blower on a 295,you will likely just push the lower end out of it.They are a durable motor,as a Golf-Cart motor,I don't know how hard you could push it beyond minor mods.A Blown-Oppy would be Cool!!!

Re: Supercharged Ezgo
I am still a little rich but ideally I would like 12:1 from ideal to 1/2 throttle then 10:1 from 1/2 to full for the safety it offers. After some time with it I may try to lean it out a bit more on the top end but for now I will take the buffer it offers.

Re: Supercharged Ezgo
FastFred had a stock 295/350 lower running 10 pounds of boost for several years.

Re: Supercharged Ezgo
What was the motor doing when it registered 22.4 in the pic?
