I'm thinking of going big block, Where would be the best place to buy a 18 or bigger. Need suggestions please.

I would "Highly" recommed it ! I would recomend you go to www.cartpartsplus.com . Look over the "kits" available for what "You" want to to your car. I bought (Tom's-the owner) 23 HP kit for my stock highth car and am extremely happy with the "torque and speed"! I have personally built "Honda motor" powered cars from "scratch" and the fabrication time and purchasing all the parts needed to make it work added up to way more than his kit prices ! I installed my kit in about an hour ! In a last note...I am no way afiliated with cartpartsplus, I'm just very pleased with the (all parts needed) kit and the awnsered questioned from Tom before purchase. You may think it is expensive.......It's not in the long haul ! and You can't take it with you ! Good luck Dave

Thanks for the info I'll check it out! Is it pretty fast? What about the torque

It is so fast.....I haven't been able to "yard it out yet !" The torque is so good.....I can almost "pull" the front wheels off the ground ! That's my next "adjustment to the car"....Getting the front wheels UP!! Later Dave

I agree with what Dave said about the cost. By the time you figure everything
out, fab what you need, purchase ALL the parts, the kit prices at CPP are very reasonable.

read my thread on my build doing it all from scratch. If you bought everything new and then added 10 hours of fab time you will be over the $1800 price of the kit
