If you bought everything that comes in his kit separately, you'd spend a lot more. It's not just an engine but a complete drop in kit with new clutch, etc...

$2,000.00 is CHEAP. Our Honda kit is nearly $4,000.00. Tom's is the best engine for the money I have ever seen, so I'd watch the negative posts about that product

Yep, and the engineering and trial and error is already done......All the little things really add up....engine cradle, exhaust, wiring, just getting the correct belt length can be very frustrating and time consuming. Can you do it yourself, yes. Can you do it for less, maybe.

if you have the tools and skills to do the work than by all means do it yourself and save a little money [maybe] but don't ask for answers that you should already have. you can eat up 150.00 just in trying to find the belt that works the best. if you were experienced in this kind of work you would have known better than to even make this post. well maybe |

Make sure to list everything you buy and the cost. I want to see how much you are going to save, or spend.

gofastr1, you are getting these negative responses from the guys who have been there and done that... Some of them could put a Vanny in a tricycle and make it work. They have all been the route you are talking about going down ... I just wanted to tell you that so you don't get your stuff in a wad and alienate the guys that will ultimately be answering all of your questions when you run into trouble Good luck!

ask scotty he did it him self and im sure he spent more than $2000.00...
the honda and vanny motor alone is $1500.00 then you need a engine craddle clutch drive belt and one that wont fall apart exhaust muffler it adds up way to fast |

It includes the engine cradle, engine, exhaust header, muffler, clutch, belt, and a complete ready to drop in wiring harness with keyswitch. EVERYTHING needed to install a V-twin in your cart.
