Re: Yamaha g16 Will not shut off
Check your pedal switch and see if it is stuck.

Re: Yamaha g16 Will not shut off
Check plug in middle of cart. I think it is a black and blue wires, make sure it is plugged good and a stick hasn't pulled it apart. Also you can check ground wire on coil.

Re: Yamaha g16 Will not shut off
Look under the cart about middle ways toward the driver's side. You should see two wires that go to the pedal switch. They are green and red or brown (I can't remember the color right off hand). One of them may be disconnected.
Recheck the pedal switch under the cart on the pedal mechanism. It is a little plunger type switch, kind of like a brake light switch on an automobile. If it is stuck or bad, it will cause this problem. Does your cart continue to run even if you turn it off and pull the key out? |

Re: Yamaha g16 Will not shut off
I agree, check the stop switch, the engine wire connection (black and blue wires) at the front of the engine (has a female/male connection from wire harness to motor leads) also culd be a "stuck" stop relay or solenoid. Good luck Dave
