Ignition/spark problem
Ok so it seems like every year I have to replace a coil. I've been buying the accel coils from autozone. I dont know if they aren't the same and I have to buy something specific or what but I just replaced it 2 days ago and now I lost spark again today. Possibly a bad module killing the coils or do I need to buy a different coil?

Re: Ignition/spark problem
The coils are sensitive on those carts in that you need one with pretty specific internal resistance as described here:
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...formation.html That being said, it's not often that the coil goes bad as they are normally rugged. It's usually a less rugged portion of the ignition circuit that goes bad like the module. For sure, though, there are dozens of coils listed in that link. You may want to try to switch things up. |
